    ... a nearby river walk. We drove out looking for the town walk but ended up driving to the lookout. This turned out to be fine as it was pretty foggy and the walk was through dense trees. We cut the hike short and moved on.

    ... still expected us to be able to read Luxembourgish, French or German. I had to rack my brain to decipher the German - I hope my translation was correct!

    The town is centred around a beautiful town square and rounded-off by an impressive basilica. Beautiful as the town may be, there were flies and bees everywhere. Actually, flies and bees seem to love Luxembourg and we couldn't escape them the entire weekend.

    ... br> It reminds me a lot of Toledo, in terms of its history and its layout. But whereas they basically stopped building anything and left it as it was in Toledo, they have kept all the good bits of Luxembourg but modernised the city, so its a really good balance between the old and the new but doesn't feel like one of those cities where you have an old town, and then everything else is new without any real transition between the two.
