    ... people eating out. Pete had Flammehueke, which was a Luxembourg pizza, made with sour cheese and not tomato. I had a large salad once more. We walked back to the car along Petrusse Valley at the base of the city fortifications, and saw lots of folks out exercising. Back to the car; no parking ticket, and then the drive back to our Chateau. A lovely day seeing this tiny country in the south-East corner of Belgium, where saying hello to the Prime Minister seems to be part of everyday ...

    ... Lux side). Lovely town with cathedral, abbey and orangerie gardens. Hil and Dori couldn't believe we could so easily go from one country to the other!     ... to a local merchant who left the place in ruins. Only after the 1970's when serious restoration work started, the castle was revamped. Some of the rooms (including the kitchen) have been fully refurbished, in order to give an idea of life as it would have been in the castle in the middle ages.There's an arms room too.Beyond doubt, this castle is one of the most striking beauties of Luxembourg! ...

    ... with construction everywhere. Old buildings being renovated, sidewalks being completed, park amenities being added...it seemed as though the sounds and smell of building and moving were everywhere. Clearly Luxembourg must be enjoying a buffer from the fate being suffered by most of the rest of the European Union financially.

    Bags grabbed, I bade goodbye to this tiny Duchy and headed back for Hahn and my filght to Pescara.
