    ... surfers, but I would not have liked being out in a small boat fishing! The weather picked up over the bank holiday weekend - it's a holiday in France too.     ... why should it fail when we use it? At the top, a restaurant with views (on a clear day, including Europe's longest straight avenue (at 8 km, out to the nuclear research area) beckoned so we treated ourselves to lunch (well, that's what holidays and retirement can be about sometimes)
