Woke up at the crack of dawn after a good nights sleep today and had a good walk round to see the nearby sites. Even though it was early the fish market was in full swing and what a site to behold, fresh fish galore straight off the boat onto the quayside, 2 litres of Mussels Si Vous Plait ! - my kind of grocery shopping. We ventured into town for fresh bread and the best garlic we have had in years to make Moules Marinere later ...

... went perfect, the passage plan, the tide, the whole journey. Paul & Clare our surrogate family joined us for a final coffee aboard this morning before we left which was really nice, then watched avidly on the MarineTraffic App to see our progress the whole day - they were the first people we called when we landed, but they obviously already knew. We are going to really miss them guys xxx. A quick shower ...

... 16 pts which was my total score in the first round. Anyway, I went on to have 40 points and won the day. I can't believe it. I had to make a speech and was presented with a gorgeous golf towel and glove with the club logo on both. The weather was perfect today, sunny with a cool breeze. When we went to cross the road in our golf carts, the traffic stopped for us!! Very ...

... dried our wet gear. The course was really interesting with some great par 3's. It was in great condition despite the rain and was enjoyable to play as it was not a long course. Luckily I had shared a sandwich with Derek as we did not finish till nearly 4. Back to the hotel to blog whole Derek walked with some others. Dinner was very ordinary. Back at room by 10pm. Much cooler than yesterday and with the window open, almost bearable.
