... Some really good shots hit by us both, and at 18° I got so hot I took my jumper off! We finished about 3.30pm giving us time to drive to the beach. I'm glad we did, it was lovely. There were loads of people about, enjoying the sunshine just like us. We had a cold drink at a bar on the sands, then took a little walk along the promenade. We were tempted earlier, not to get a parking ticket, because it wouldn't accept our credit card, ...

... it's not surprising the local restaurants offer "fish if the day" on their menu. Time for a hot drink and lunch we made our way back to town. Sale à l'étage had seats in the sun so that's where we had a tea/coffee and a panini. It got so warm we took our ***********. 18°! We walked, uphill now, back towards the old town. We took more photos of various statues of art, before deciding it was time for a nice large glass ...

We left 8.45am plenty of time for the journey to Dover. Our ferry booked for 12.55. It was an easy ride, with only light traffic. As we arrived so early we were put on the 12pm crossing. It's half term and didn't we know it...kids everywhere, well it gave Dave something to comment on! Sunshine all the way, just time to have a cuppa and kit-kat and then we were off! Only half hour drive to our Ibis Boulogne-sur-Mer, room 306. 10 minutes ...

Our last day in France and it rained all day. I thought that was rather apt. We arrived in the rain and we are leaving in the rain. It looks like its really happening and this guy is going to take the van. He is very excited and is travelling down with us to Cornwall tomorrow and then driving the Beast away. We are nearly finished one part of our journey and will have some time with Jane and Anton and a small trip to Greece to look forward ...

... so hopefully there will be no delays. Nope, no delays, no migrants, nothing! Also a good clear drive back home there were even no queues at the Dartford Tunnel. Back home by 3pm and spent the next 2.5 hours unloading and sorting stuff out. All done, can't wait until next ...
