... Le Crotoy (note to Trip Adviser...this is not JUST outside town). All rooms were full and people seemed to morph out of the fields at dinner time with a very full house.

We ended up in an Aire in Berck-sur-Mer. From what I can see an Aire is just a fancy French name for a car park with some basic facilities for motor homes (yes the tour of the car parks of Europe continues).
It did turn out to be a really good find as we were right next to sand dunes and the beach, so with my constant demands for walks I managed to wear the pair of them ...
And OFF we go again!!
It was a much more easier Goodbye to everyone on the UK this time, knowing it wouldn't be so long till we were back.
Got down to Calais the night before to make for an easy passage the next day on the Ferry which was very quiet and non-eventful.
We didn't head too far on our first night, it was quite late and driving on ...
... produces spectacular views. Lots of camping cars stopping for mid morning break and admiring the view.
It's sunny as we arrive at the ferry terminal and queue to board. Once on the car deck, we are greeted by a lovely deckhand who told us that yesterday, they had to be towed out of harbour - but today was much better.
