... Getting back out this time was more difficult. A few cruise liners had gone past and had given the swell a rough edge. We had to try 4 or 5 times to grab hold of the rock which ended up with a few cuts and grazes. The water was just too fast and rough and would push us up against the rock only to pull us down again. We then rode bikes back to Cici for the night, when we woke in the morning we parked in the town and had a good look around the citadel. It is very impressive, it reminded us a little of Ibiza town the way you wind up to the top amongst all the higgledy piggeldy houses. After a good look around we checked into a local caravan park so we could get some electric as the laptop has been dead for a few days ...

... enjoyable with plenty red mountains and crazies on scooters. There was also no shortage of coin on the water. I think there were 1 or 2 boats in the harbour that I could have afforded. They were tenders to a couple of old fishing boats.

We drove through Cannes and didn't really understand what all the talk was about. It was nice but we have seen much better towns ...

The Christmas market is right across the square with a big ferris wheel. Maybe I got the wrong information, but I thought winter temperatures in Côte-d'Azure / French Riviera is supposed to be moderate. I knew I was in trouble when I saw an outdoor skating rink!? Boy I didn't expect to put on my down jacket this early in the trip!?
