... beds. We got a pillow, blanket, water, earplugs and candy! We were able to close the window, and turnoff the lights and announcer. Locking our door gave us peace of mind and sleeping was not an issue! ... the train half way along the line to Entrevaux, known for its fortress built high above the village, with a history as a prison and stronghold. After a fairly steep climb up to the top, the view of the region lies beneath, with the village set out in the shape of a teardrop, confined by the bends of the snaking river and the fortress rise.

Hopped on the bus with Dean & April agreeing to go into Nice for the next chapter in the train ticket saga. Bonny, Kaila and I got off just near our apartment for a couple hours r & r. D & A returned about 4ish having (eventually) successfully purchased tix for the 1st leg of our journey which would get us to the Italian border. ... stalls, then headed up a massive hill to Le Chateau (or the ruins of). We actually took a lift to get to the top as we were all feeing a little under the weather still, but the views from the top were amazing! We wandered around up there for a while and got some beautiful photos. After that we wandered along the beachfront and back to the bus. I loved Nice. I would definitely go back ...

... is like a Masterchef kitchen, but also full of friendly people and music (one of the guys on staff was very proud of his collection on power ballads haha!). I took full advantage of the amazing kitchen: I bought some free-range eggs, some fresh spinach, spanish onion, tomatos and mushrooms and made myself a badass, delicious omelette for dinner! Omnomnomnomnom!!
