... Tower souvenirs etc. As well as these there are the hagglers who follow you everywhere trying to sell you something - a scarf, real rolex watches!! and umbrellas. You have to try to ignore them /but they are really persistent. They are mostly immigrants who are unable to find regular work. Everywhere we go they are lingering.As soon as they see a group of people or a bus pull up they descend like vultures. Hilarious when it threatened to rain, away went the souvenirs and ...

... good scenery. Whilst we waited in one station the driver didnt put his brakes on so we were rolling backwards... Hmmm rookie driver? Um and what the hell is that smell?! Seriously the trains in italy are not well looked after and smell so bad. We changed trains [again], this time in a town called Ventimiglia. I both do and do not speak French depending on how you look at it. Later she and Lea explained that one of the other party-goers said he thought I didn't speak French and they told him I did.
