... home at 3 in the morning and were decidedly second-hand the next morning.

So here we are in Avoriaz, the Christmas - New Year rush / panic / chaos has passed and we are finding our feet, after 4 weeks of really hard slog. It would be fair to say that it has almost beaten us and we have been ready to pack our bags. This life is much harder than Whanga, and the clients are something pretty special.

Met some interesting groups of Italians, see the funny hats. It seems that all of Italy has these 2 weeks off, so the trails and refuges are full. Dinner in a lovely dining room, food pasta as usual. ...

... journey. I chat with a British couple on day 8 of their journey, an Israeli who is doing it ultra light, and a Belgian man who is training to do the non-stop race in August - he is aiming to run the 200km in 33 hours! Respect! Now I'll go and watch the football semifinal at the bar up the road with Ameet, the Isreali physicist. Germany vs Brazil with French commentary! It's pretty cold and wet. Snow down to 2000m. Oh well... It's exciting to be on the next step of my ...
