... slot machines AND a €10 per person entry (don't get us wrong, it's all part of our version of a holiday, if you don't like the cost, don't go) So even that small wager was denied us. However payback time came in the form of their loos which are excellent (sorry Michael, they have Dyson hand dryers!) Near the casino was a queue of fantastic cars loaded with Beautiful People who don't like to stop for us to cross their chosen course ...

We drove to Monaco, roughly 40 minutes away from where we were staying in Cannes. It was as we started the descent into Monaco that all the super cars started to appear, which Dale found very distracting! First visit was to the Oceanographic museum where we saw lots of nemos, watched piranhas at feeding time and even got to pat sharks! Next we walked up to the palace. ... to one of the back streets and had a pit of mussels for dinner. It was really nice. Returned back to the hotel at about 9:30pm, really for bed.


Last night in France tonight. France was everything we what it it be. We had culture, history and good food in a Paris, a more local experience with good food, wine, markets and real french living in Tours, the French Reviera was very different and more beachside ...

... he may want to recommend, tries out all the local sports venues and shops/beauty parlours etc and basically samples everything he thinks his owner might be interested in so that he can report back. Pretty cool job if you can get it and for this he gets paid a fortune and everything is paid for on the yacht credit card. I am sitting in bed writing this and I can hear something pitter pattering up and down along the roof. Is it a neighbourhood ...

... very nice dinner. The views were magnificent. The food on the menu was duck, pork belly, mussel soup, salmon, peach vacherin. It was beautiful.


Finished the night with the bus trip home singing crocodile rock (Elton John lives nearby and is currently in town). It was a great night, very 'nice'.
