We made it to the cruise after taking a taxi from Yokohama train station in powering rain. In fact we sheltered in the underground food cafes for a few hours first as were way to early..

This was an exercise in precise travel agent planning as the flight arrived at 6am, I knew it would be a couple of hours to the port and boarding was lunchtime. A bit risky really, I normally recommend my clients to book a nights hotel ...

Dinner was a ten course tapas and all you can drink in 2.5 hours for ¥3000 (£15) type deal. All you can drink. Let that sink in. Naturally this lead to the most Japanese of all ...

... for tea giving Josh an excuse to force conversation on more japanese people (as he's done at every lunch and dinner), and this time the owner was so pleased by Josh's effort and self deprication she gave us a free board game. Lauren's Japanese is also improving though Josh won't teach her any insults lest she use it against him. Thursday the 11th we moved on too Kanazawa and visited it's 3 Geisha districts, which have now become something of a special interest of Lauren's due ...
