... I lay on the beach with them then wandered down to Matthews for happy hour to meet some other students. There was music on the beach and also some live Jazz in the street so after making the most of happy hour (well happy 3 hours) we walked down to the beach and then to the street to enjoy the music. We enjoyed burgers at Matthews as it was 2 burgers for 50EC. The Jazz was really impressive and even more medical students gathered to dance and enjoy the music.

... Some we will and others maybe never, but we have contact addresses and look forward to hearing their stories as they travel. ... world that made the place seem more worthwhile: At night the beach across from the anchorage came to life with dozens of pregnant green turtles, dragging themselves up the shore to dig a nest to lay and bury their eggs. It was a painstakingly slow journey for these huge creatures, lugging their massive bodies through the sand. The heaving of their lungs could be heard as soon as they found a spot they liked. Then came the task of digging a hole for their nest, not ...

    Working up Sunday lunch

With the weather still questionable we decide to stay out and have Sunday lunch the French way but first some polishing to be done. A great lunch and on our way back we were accosted by a German who needed a lift back to his boat after a lunchtime party. Looking worse for wear we took sympathy and find ourselves spending a few hours drinking large Gin and Tonics on ...
