... tourist high season kitchen (rocks and some more rocks). We also all had to jump off the jumping off rock which was of course great fun! Strolling around the small spit of palm tree land we were beckoned by almost all the locals, who also were frustrated by us only talking to the dynamic duo. We saw the young lad smash a crab shell trying to find conch. It seems likely that they may be struggling in the wild now.

We were all in the cockpit when I saw a sail, the Boat behind us slowly closed the distance behind us as we watched and discussed who it might be. Our VHF radio soon told us, we heard, a familiar voice “Sailing vessel ten miles ahead of us on our port side, this is sailing vessel Eole Angel, do you copy?” We were all amazed that at 500 miles from land Peter had ended ...

With the weather still questionable we decide to stay out and have Sunday lunch the French way but first some polishing to be done. A great lunch and on our way back we were accosted by a German who needed a lift back to his boat after a lunchtime party. Looking worse for wear we took sympathy and find ourselves spending a few hours drinking large Gin and Tonics on ...

... at no point did I feel scared. I'd just like to know what my mother's thoughts would be on the whole journey had she known what I'd let myself in for?!

Living on the boat has taken some getting used to. It's a house that moves. But it has a **** toilet. And I roll around a lot in the bed when we're rocking about in a swell. I've taught myself to sleep in the recovery position to minimise movement, but it's a hopeless effort. All I can do is wedge myself in and ...

... vmg may be 7.5! The Girls for sail boat that I normally race with have disappeared off the vessel reports ...which is a bit worrying as I have a few friends on board! We get regular reports of boats in trouble also, lots have broken keels, engines, and auto-pilots, broken masts and booms, so some are heading to cape Verde for repairs, and others have to retire....its sobering to get these updates and makes us all a little bit on edge but extra alert!
