... by many people, the shore front certainly showed a lot of deprecation. There were mostly fantastic looking wooden building, which were also falling apart, or at the very least flaking. This gave a very unusual and slightly aggressive feel to the town. One of the tour guides pulled up next to us about 20 minutes later with his taxi driver friend. We certainly had options.

... as we all get used to the fresh sea air, as well as the sea sickness tablets causing huge drowsiness. Speed is constant at around 9-10 knots, true wind 25-30 but gusting to 35 and the waves pretty big at about 6m but nice and spaced out so we are reefing and unreefing on a regular basis as squalls go past, and constantly poised for action should the wind pick up anymore. We decide to play it safe and reef the sales at night so to have relaxing night shifts.
