After a rainy 5 hr drive from San Sebastian we arrived in Sarlat la Caneda.
Such a gorgeous town.
We are staying right in the centre of the historical area.
The apartment is the best so far with 3 levels, exposed timber beams and loads of character. Greg is going to replicate this for me in our next home.
The town has small,cobblestoned streets that can get lost in, lined with little restaurants ...

We arrived in Sarlat at late afternoon.
The apartment is probably the best yet that I have seen.
There is three levels, the third one is just a loft where me my sister and brother sleep.
The next morning we went walking because we didn't get to yesterday.

On the last day we went to bowling. IT WAS SO FUN!

I won the first game with 117 points.
My Dad won the 2nd game with 124 points, but he was no good on the first game.
Even my sister beat him. My sister is 6 and she beat my Dad.

... before relinquishing ownership in the 20th century. The finished chateau is very impressive - it is absolutely huge and has amazing views over the surrounding countryside. It also has a chapel with floors on two levels - the first one for the Lords is on street level, and the other level for the villagers is below the ground, down a very steep staircase. Apparently the Lords though they should be closer to God than the villagers ...
