What a day! This morning we again started with three hours of schooling in the morning before we headed off for the afternoon exploring. Today our destination was Saint Cirq Lapopie. This town is truly spectacular and is officially listed as one of 'the most beautiful villages in France' and in 2012 was voted as France's most popular village.

After much anticipation and to the delight of Kate and Roy the 2015 school year started yesterday on the 7th January with the raising of the Australian Flag, National Anthem sung and messages read out. It was pleasing to see that there was a 100% attendance from both the students and teachers for the first day. After a rainy 5 hr drive from San Sebastian we arrived in Sarlat la Caneda.
Such a gorgeous town.
We are staying right in the centre of the historical area.
The apartment is the best so far with 3 levels, exposed timber beams and loads of character. Greg is going to replicate this for me in our next home.
The town has small,cobblestoned streets that can get lost in, lined with little restaurants ...
