Then we drove to another spot where there were ruins of Roman buildings from a township they established after they won the battle but it was all a bit rainy so we didn't stay very long.       ... at her husband. We had also noticed an awful smell around the site, which we think came from a refridgeration and processing plant across the road. When I asked Madame what the awful smell was, she replied - les vaches - I think she meant dead ones!
