... back and found a mall along the highway. From there we decided to visit the tourist office to see if we had simply missed everything there was to do in Andorra.  The ladies at the information desk were very friendly, although confused as to how best to help us.  It seems that there isn't much tourism in the country outside of winter.  Without the ski resort running, the country felt dormant. Day 22 - Friday, 26th September, 2014

We had decided on Thursday night that we were going to have a lazy day today. The hotel was arguably the best we had stayed at and it was cheap. So we booked in for another night.

Everything about the car has been a delight, except perhaps the GPS, which while indispensable was also at times frustrating. We catch the train into Les Rambles and then walk 5 minutes to our accommodation. Unfortunately we are left standing outside for ...

... is no snow on the mountains parts of the road and some of the views are breathtaking. The lower tunnel to Andorra is closed for maintenance so we climb even higher than might normally be the case. The tunnel at the top is over two Kms long and we emerge into the affluent, ski settlement of Canillo. It is an impressive sight. The road up to Andorra I think is used for the Tour de France and once through the tunnel the roads are much wider and there are lots of chalets and ...
