... with lots of twists and hills. We ride in full sun today but it is 30 degrees colder than our last sunny day! We stop at a small town along the way that has a large cross made of metal stationed on a narrow peninsula. We make the ferry terminal at about 1200, only traveling 120 miles. We are helped to get reservations, (you have to call in or have a Canadian address and phone number to log in on line). Not very easy for those foreigners. The ferry terminal building is new ...

    And mighty it is.

We have been following it's banks, north and south for a few days now.

Chris and I love hiking, we try and do it as often as possible and hopefully it will be a common theme throughout this blog. After seeing the massive route of shorter trails to do, we settled on the 15km trail Les Murailles up the Pic Champlain Mountain. Now it sounds fine except that the trail ...

Day started out sunny and we hit rain at 4 pm near Matane, a very french town on coast Gaspe. Found a lovely B & B for the night. And walked into town to local pub to sample the local beer and pizza. The drive along the Gaspe is beautiful, every small village and town has an enormous Catholic Church and they all ring there bells on the hour, reminds me of Europe. Everyone speaks some English and if not we use our Tarzan french( very primitive with the game of charades in ...
