... is" having not been here since five years ago. The place was again more beautiful than I had remembered. Lovely little shops, restaurants, boutiques, lodges, resorts, and even a casino, all nicely decorated that made this small village look like a picture right out of a fairy book.
We proceeded walking along the cobblestone pavement, up the hill, looking here and there. The colour of the ...
Just a quick blog about Mont Tremblant!
I've never been anywhere like the village of Mont Tremblant before. It's some weirdly clean, very tourist orientated, colourful collection of shops and facilities, on the mountain, surrounded by some of the amazing Canadian scenery. There is a relaxed atmosphere, probably because most people there are on holiday. When we went there was a music/arts festival ...

But, alas, they had the unworn, tidy bindings and rough hand-stitching of quilts made in China. We took the funicular up the very steep hill to Upper Town and walked more quaint streets, as far as the Citadel built by the British and the the very wall itself . From the top of ...
Quebec City, Quebec, Canada lrandal... not sure that it's fair to try and attach a profound meaning to something that simply was what it was. I will honestly say that I had a great time and I don't regret a second of it. With the time difference, it feels like five in the morning, so I'm heading off to sleep. In the coming days I'll probably tweak this journal a bit, but for the most part, that's all, folks. I hope you've enjoyed accompanying me virtually on this journey as much as I've enjoyed having you with me.
Montreal, Quebec, Canada segacs... to relax. Five seconds later, the other guy started talking to me. I didn't want to appear rude so I pulled out my headphones and made an effort. After all, we did have six hours to pass together. What my radar had failed to detect is that he was a sci-fi fanatic (a trait usually obvious from two miles away). He proceeded to read his Sci-Fi Readers' Monthly to me until, mercifully, we picked up another girl an hour later and I was able to palm off the Trekkie without ...
Montreal, Quebec, Canada slinkymlinky... written in large letters, making you an obvious and easy stand-out target on the system. The days of validity are also selected by scratching them out like a scratchie, meaning it's easy to accidently scratch out bits of other days due to wear and tear. Charles in particular loathes the entire Metro system. It's a rubber tire system like select Paris lines, with trains being 3x 3 car sets operating at 6-10 minute intervals. It's all pretty dingy, dirty, old and ...
Montrèal, Quebec, Canada v1213... retailer in the world, the pull for Charles was too much. We missed the first connecting bus and went to walk through the everything store. It was huge, it even had its own McDonalds. It did seem to do it for Charles though, so at least it made him happy. The next connecting bus came in 15 minutes so we were soon back at the hotel and asleep ready for an early morning today. After waking at 5am we were down at reception and into a cab at 5:30am. Unfortunately there the ...
