So, after being delayed a good hour and feeling pretty cranky, we had a choice of finding our way back to Haselbourg about 90km away or to try and continue with our plans for the day and head to the next attraction, the Alsace-Moselle Memorial at Schirmeck. It's such a beautiful village with a population of just over 1500 people, quaintest of buildings and huge array of gorgeous little restaurants, no car zone in the centre which is of course where our guesthouse is. The drive back to our place in Eguisheim didn't take very long. Once there, we walked around town a little, then drove to a hillside high above town for a great view of the village below.
