After a relaxing evening in the outskirts of Breda, we made our way South East to Roermond; a very beautiful little city which sits neatly between Belgium and Germany. The over cast conditions made the cycle itself really easy. As we had dicovered on Sunday, Holland continued to remain such a calm, clean place (which seems entirely to be built around the cyclists). It was as though everything ...

We went to Efteling with Uncle Ge, Miriam, John and Yari. We did lots of rides and so I will tell you my top 4. No.1 The Baron 1898, this is a good ride because you go up and then you are just about to go down a vertical slope then you stop just at the top and you are a bit over the edge and looking straight down into the hole at the bottom. No.2 Python this is one of those crazy rides were you go round in loops and corkscrews ...

27th A wet day yesterday Sophie and Arnaud offered to take us out for lunch before heading back to Amiens which was a very pleasant prospect. However we had a lot to do before then and the weather was bad; at least as bad as any day we've had so far. First the washing and then some shopping. I set off for the shops a bit late and stopped in to the restaurant -- De Pont in Maasbommel-- to let them know we were coming. Luckily I ...

... lucky and had noticed him in perfect time before he had chance to really burrow his way in. You can see from the pix that he's fully intact. Phew! Prego actually quite enjoyed the attention and especially the treats she got afterwards. We just need to keep an eye on it for a few days but we're confident it's fine. So onwards to Vught to the Concentration Camp reconstruction and museum. It was ...
