      ... our tickets straightaway then off we went. We got the Nintendo audio aide so that we could know what we were looking at. It was ok but it only did major items and there were so many other works of art that we could only look at and not know much about because my French isn't that good :( We went straight to see the Mona Lisa.       ... we did go to Paris by train one day. A cool drizzly day. We took the train in (takes half an hour) and did a practice run to get from the Gare de L’Est to the Gare du Nord. We have a little over 1/2 hour between trains to make the connection going to and from Calais when we go to England and we wanted to check it out ahead of time.       ... out the line-up situation. It was no smaller, so we all decided to call it a day at Versailles as the swimming pool at the resort was calling invitingly through the 30 degree temperatures.

      ... are in Ford's bag. Saw our first European McDonalds at the airport and Burger King at the train station (see photo). Now we are sitting in Starbucks waiting to board the train to Bayeux. Finally arrived in Bayeux and walked from the train station to the guesthouse. The owners checked us in- no English. We quickly dropped our bags in our room and walked around town. It is so cute!       ... we arrived in our apartment, and it looks fantastic, a balcony over one of the main waterways for the gondolas and clean and tidy.
