Left down South for the Midlands!

Having packed most of the big stuff the night before we only had an hour or so before we left forthe hellish windy mountain road to the motorway. 2 hrs of driving at 30 mph around hairpins is really wearing...... Back to the Issoire municipal for a night of not good sleep assisted by noisy french people, very unusual.

... didn't fancy spending the night by a grey lake under dripping trees, so drove on a few more miles to a MH Aire in the nice village of Peyrac le Chateau, where we were in the company of 4 other MH's. We went for a walk around the village , and then ,guess what?

... had views of Murol castle before heading towards the village of Beaune le-Froid. After reading the local notice board we were disappointed we wouldn’t be there for the forestry and butchering festival in a couple of week’s time, especially as we would miss out on a demo of traditional sporting butchery techniques.
