We arrived in Charlottetown, PEI Day 13 (Sept 4) travelled around the province on the coastal route until (today) September 8. It is very beautiful and while people speak a lot about Scottish descendants, everything sounds more Irish. We visited a few lighthouses (and yes I climbed to the top) and I bought a CD of local music and it was absolutely heavenly to drive, looking at beautiful scenery and listen to the music -- it just fit.
... and down to the white sand shore. The water here in the Gulf of St Lawrence is amazingly warm, and we enjoyed walking along the shore wading in the clear water.
Our trek continued on toward the east point of the island, stopping for a visit at the Railway Museum in Elmira.
