So in the village of Gruyeres we decided to have a coffee, it is common in Switzerland to have black coffee with cream (I mean real cream, not just creamer as the American use). Despite being an individual state, there is a huge exchange and interconnection with the EU, especially monetarily. It's quite a paradox because the Swiss are so proud of their direct democracy but they don't hold a vote in the EU even though they are so involved in its work.

... and neutral. Once I shared my analysis of the situation they all joined me in laughter.

As the night went on we shared stories of our own families and Christmas traditions. Soon we neared the end of the fondue bowl and our bellies were full and our heads grew sleepy. I said my goodbyes and departed with Corinne. The rest of the bunch, who are all in the same psychology program, went back to their homes for a few hours of studying before an exam they had the next morning.

... pool, and a short walking trail that takes you beside a pig pen. Both Sophia and Meredith enjoyed watching and listening to the pigs (Mama, Papa and four babies). None of us enjoyed smelling them though. It was a great venue for children and they had all-you-can drink coffee for parents - hard to find in Switzerland. If we`d gone there earlier in our stay I think we would have been regulars.
