... more about about this tragic event and were able to see artifacts that were destroyed by the bomb. We also visited the A-Bomb Dome. This is a structure that survived the actual bombing. The bomb was detonated 500 meters above this building (which was used for cultural events) and even though the people inside died instantly, part of the structure survived. Many people wanted the building destroyed to avoid remembrance of this tragic event, but it was saved and now serves as ...

It's unbelievable that such good quality beef is so ...

We decided to head to the onsen as soon as we could before dinner. We went in the two indoor onsen first which were very similar and smallish. The water was so warm! Then we went to one of the outdoor onsen. Each one has it's own entrance and indoor area to leave your stuff and wash before getting in. This one was so nice. It was ...

... There were some little cushions you could take so we got them, laid down and we both fell asleep. Next thing we knew, we were arriving in Beppu. Beppu is very famous for its many onsen. We were hungry so we looked up a sushi place and went on a bit of a trek until we found it. We had a good fill and then had to walk back in the opposite direction to find our hostel, Khaosan Beppu Spa Hostel. It was a really nice place with a very helpful girl on reception. They had ...
