... a little beer and wine to go with all the visiting we did while in Quebec... Family dinners in, family dinners out. All was fantastic! Of course we had the ever famous quebec pizza a few times!

On Labour day weekend was the big Brome Fair. Another highlight of my childhood. Kinda rates up there with Christmas. It's 4 days and I get a pass for all four. Wayne went for two. Three counting the day we went before it opened to help with setting ...

Vermont and Its Little-Known Border Town

... This extraordinary experience can only be seen in Derby Line, VT/Stanstead, QC. I have always had a fascination with country borders and how they vary from country to country, but this was unlike anything I have ever seen before. The most interesting part is that the was BARELY ANY BORDER SECURITY! A row of potted plants and a “Warning” sign is all that separated the two countries. There is no exaggeration when I say that some ...

Nous sommes ici! Overnight in Quebec

A nice campground after a 4 hour drive through Montreal - mostly easy driving, which is good, because we didn't know how much twisty, windy, up and down we would face the next day on "La Route des Sommets", and after crossing the border into Maine!

... known her whole life. Lots of english speaking seniors and staff. This is good as she doesn't speak french. Although she knew I would be there.. She was surprised. Her memory is not as good as it used to be.

So... Lots of visiting over the week.. Lots of eating too. Just a few of my favourite things to do! Lol! Had the Quebec pizza. Gotta have it on every trip there. Something about the thin crust and ...

          Another day of skiing!

A travel blog entry by matt-hryniewicz on Mar 01, 2015

Went skiing with the Reidy's and their cousins. Jay Peak is definitely a must on a skiers list. Some sweet glade skiing for novices. Packed powder. 25 degrees. Barely a breeze. A couple of quads and a tram bought you to the top. Sitting on the Canadian border in northern Vermont, it's quite remote making for small lift lines. It was a four hour ride but the ride back was a bit more interesting with the impending ...
