    We woke up to a very hard frost. Luckily this campsite has lovely heated wetrooms. We set off to Beziers to join the A75 free motorway, which climbs up to almost 1200m. We would not know until the start of the climb up towards Lodeve if the whole road would be open.

    Today is Sunday and we began our day with a sleep in after our late night on Saturday.     ... to the Notre Dame and this can only be accessed by 216 steps, of which the pilgrims often climb by their knees. We tried doing, but did not succeed and climbed the rest of the way on foot. There is a list of Saints and political leaders that have made the climb on their knees and it included St Anthony in 1226, Pope Jean XXII in 1320 and King Louis XI of France who did it twice in 1443 and 1446.
