After our leisurely breakfast we had to wash our damp and smelly cycle kit from the last 4 days. We headed off in search of a launderette and were lucky enough to find one 5 minutes from the hotel. ... 8pm. Decided to go past my intended stop to try and work up a day in advance so that I can have a rest day when Glynice comes. Passed through Lausanne, good views over the lake from fancy tower. Cold and damp start. Again managed to leave town without passing anything that sells food. Thank goodness for mars bars. I think they should be sponsoring me. It dried up by lunchtime but still cold. Past a sign showing current temperature. 10 degrees midday. I don't have clothes for that sort of temperature. By a miracle I found somewhere for lunch. ... like I’d accomplished something and was pretty happy with myself! We all jumped on the tram and headed back into the city where I left them on the tram and headed 'home’ to the hotel! Eddie was happy to see me and had missed me all day haha!! We then headed out for more sightseeing and took the tram down to the edge of Lake Genève.
