Today started in a very disappointing way, as we walked in to have our breakfast we were greeted with many hungry people. We found very little juice, no bread or hot food, very little cereal (many eating on plates and with forks due to no bowls or spoons), and one of our tour party clearing tables so many of us could sit down. Apparently having two groups eating close to each other didn't work, and the hotel didn't cope very well. On the plus side our tour director did say as ...

We travel down to the South of France in 2 weeks to visit my Italian cousin (who has 2 girls (more girls!!) ages 3 1/2 and 18 months) who are holidaying near Arles (where Van Gogh lived and painted his famous 'Cafe at Night') and my Aunt who lives near Uzes a really pretty French town not far from Arles.

I was just commenting on the boring drive when we turned off and began following a lovely canal for around 10 kms. There were nice boats and lochs to look at along the way. I completely made David’s day when after taking a photo I decided to crouch down in a ditch beside the car to have a wee (there was that toilet problem again and I was ...

... Unfortunately, we booked a train to Beaune, so we had to rush through the exhibit. By 12:15pm we had to go back to the hotel to grab our bags and hop on a train.

The next destination is Beaune (pronouned Bone, which the ticket lady at the train station promptly corrected us.) Beaune is about a 2 hour train ride south of Paris. We arrived at night, checked in and got ...
