... totally forgotten about the extra course that my meal came with - cheese! Placed in front of me was a rather hefty wedge of semi-soft cheese with a salty rind upon crushed walnuts and little pieces of toasted 'pain d'épices'.
After eating ALL of that we got on to dessert. I had a massive crème brûlée and Alyssa had some pain d'épices and ice cream.
Last night before going to sleep, we tried desperately to find something to do today with no success. My laissez-faire approach to planning this trip meant that we missed vente au vin in Beaune, and we ended up here on a day that we really couldn't do anything! Oops. I guess strictly planning IS better... ;)
