For mains we both ordered the beef bourguignon, which came out in a copper pot and was served to us at the table with freshly made and cooked fettuccini (apparently the fettuccini is a common choice of accompaniment as we saw it on several menus). ... I balanced a plate on a stick on the palm of my hand not holding on. there was another one where you rolled it down your arms then it rolls down a stick then flipped it over. The man was really good at everything.
Swordfighting was really boring. All you had to do was hit a shield.

On our way back to Switzerland, we stayed in the capital of Burgundy, the city of Beaune. We rode about 495 kms in total this day, with mostly highway riding.
We went into the city center for a glass of wine and dinner. The centre is quite interesting, with many wine bars and restaurants.
The wine we had was good, but we needed more time to really get an appreciation of the local wines.
... still took about an hour and a half to get there though. We were given a Renault Captur which we were pleasantly surprised with. The Captur is an upgrade on the Clio and is being released in Australia later this year. It's a really comfortable drive and has all the technology bells and whistles you could hope for. Had an amazing day really enjoyed the hospice, the tour was excellent really cold today it was rain coats all round, didn't really want to get off the bus but was pleased we did. Cute little town and enjoyed some time to look around the shops. Bought some lunch for our train trip to Paris.
