... letters -Encore - in place. And since USA Coast Guard registered boats are required to have a home port - we will add Oakland, CA. I suspect there are not a lot of USA Coat Guard registered canal boats in France and I'd about guarantee there is not another one with a home port of Oakland, CA!

We also spent most of the weekend clearing out all of the tools, paint, varnish, bizarre pieces of this and that, extra hose, etc etc etc etc etc ...

... good 400 berths, and boat works. Our barge has been out of the water here since Stan inspected and purchased her last spring. Sunday we went to see her - and couldn't find her!

We went back on Monday, and there she was, in the water parked right next to the lock that accesses the Canal de Bourgogne. H2O, the people who have been slowly and expensively fixing things over the winter, were supposed to leave her out of the water still Stan could inspect ...

... Is this some sort of new slang phrase? No, no it is not. It is just the French's obsession with putting completely nonsensical English phrases on clothing simply because they think English is cool. Other golden phrases we've found on clothing include "Flow wers, Tenderness." (flowers spelled incorrectly), "Heaven, One Way." "Pretty flowers make people happy." and "The Dotted Line." Love it! I guess we do the same in the US with French words, just because ...

... and whoever found "La Fève" (which is a small trinket of some kind hidden inside) is clamed king or queen.
I also got to celibrate when I got home to Ouroux-sur-Saône. My host mother made one with chocolate inside and we ate it hot. We also got to eat galette many other times in the month because the bakeries sell them a bunch.

We drove into Beaune early-ish, around 9:30 am, so that we would be sure of finding a parking spot and so we could hopefully finish our touring before the heat of the day. We parked in the same lot as we had when we were here in November and we felt like locals because this was a new parking lot that wasn't yet on the tourist maps of town.
