... books as well. I believe the part used for the jail can be visited in summer and they do tours but we didn’t see it as Katherine only had access to the library and the tours only go on during the summer months.

From there we drove down into the lower town and it was like going back even further in time. If the old city inside the walls on the upper level looked old, the lower town was even older, with narrow cobbled streets ...

... wechselte die Dame des Küchenpersonals in eben jenes. Der deutsche Akzent erschlug mich fast und so schlug ich ihr im Gegenzug vor, dass wir auf unserer Landesprache sprechen könnten, was Eva-Lisa (so ihr Name) sichtliche Entspannung bereitete, da sie, wie sie mir berichtete, seit 5 Monaten kein Gespräch mehr in Deutsch geführt hätte.

I arrived in Quebec and wandered the very pretty streets. Its a very historical town and very romantic, the hostel i stayed in was within the old castle city walls, standing above the buildings. That night i had a yum french crepe and then the next morning i jumped on a walking tour with a fantastic tour lady. The tour was fantastic and I can't wait to get back to this city, it is just peaceful, tranquil, filled with history and beautiful. ...

Today is also his last day in Quebec as he gets the overnight train to Halifax tonight. So our numbers swell, with Cyndie leading the way and Stephan and myself following like sheep pausing to make jokes at all the tat and silly stuff on sale for the tourists at ridiculous prices.
