... looking for skiing /boarding, a party, and to get lucky occasionally. Be fair to say its a target rich environment, in all categories. Oops, no notes again! Refuge Elena quite new and modern. Large dorms but partitioned into bunks of 4. Located on a high ridge overlooking the valley, where we had a long break and arvo tea. Met some interesting groups of Italians, see the funny hats. It seems that all of Italy has these 2 weeks off, so the trails and refuges are full. My stay in Leysin was short, mostly due to the fact that tourist towns outside of tourist season are awfully creepy... especially when you have a 20 person hostel completely to yourself and an owner that is far too excited to have someone staying there. The two night original plan quickly turned into an overnight stop and go.
