The centre of KL works. It's easy to get around, made so by free transport provided on buses that follow easy circular routes so you can't get lost. And it's been a joy not to hear a motor bike engine for the first time in months. And a joy ...

Air Asia being a budget airline don't provide any frills on the plane - we were lucky they even supply life jackets!
So early next morning after we had checked our luggage in, we went to the shops we had previously scouted the day before and bought a couple of pasta meals, some subway rolls and some cakes. Our money actually was much better spent doing this and we got food we liked - Note to self - do this ...

Eventually, we dragged ourselves away from the view and made our way down. We were in the lift alone this time, which was unnerving, and the journey was even faster. We wended our way back to our hotel with the images from the tower still fresh in our mind. The experience has left us with a great first impression of 'KL' and made us all the more excited to immerse ourselves in this diverse and multicultural city ...
... we had been there about 15 minutes and a massive storm started and we got totally drenched again. In the evening we went to a fancy bar on the 33rd floor of a hotel, it had a swimming pool with floating light balls and an amazing view of the Petronas Twin Towers. We were joined by Marco from Croatia, who was in our room at the hostel, we had some very pink cocktails that were far too sweet! But it was a really good and glamorous ...
