We saw a massive sting ray and a plethora of ...

... I kid you not, this duck just walked up and started biting at my leg, their bills are surprisingly slimy.....

Anyway the next day, Saturday, we went sand boarding! Yay! We rented a bus for the day, and a guide, and off we went. Our day began early in the morning, and our first stop on the tour was an outdoor park with wild koalas and kangaroos. We saw wild koalas sleeping in eucalyptus trees and wild kangaroos sunning themselves ...

... true though, as he also had time to explain the complicated naming system in the area. We were heading out to Penguin Island which is famous for its colony of penguins, but within the Shoalwater Islands Marine Park there are many other appropriately named landmarks including White Rock, Bird Island, Gull Rock, Seal Island, First Rock, Second Rock, Third Rock, and Passage Rock which marks the passage out to open waters. Nobody hurt themselves thinking those up! We followed ...
