Historical Traveler Reviews Atrium Fashion Hotel Budapest

          Ein richtig "poppiges" Hotel

          from

          from

          Me encantó- volvería a quedarme

          from

          from

          Great fashion hotel!

          from

Visited Budapest for the 2nd time, and this time on a business occasion. Last time my stay was awful because of the hotel, which although was reasonably priced, I was misleaded by their web site and other reviews over the net. This time, after checking thoroughly this web site's reviews and checking over the hotel's web site, I decided to take the chance and book it. I was surprized by the true fashionable style, elegant decorated rooms, very pleasant, Never stayed in such clean premises. Very good staff service, good breakfast. What is really beautiful in this hotel is the Atrium place where breakfast and lunch or dinner is served. The hotel is decorated in the colors of light green, white and blue. Green is the best color for relaxing environments and that did a great work for my mood. Atrium is very very clean! The hotel is just 2 minutes from the nearest metro station and very close to the historic center of Pest. If you ever visit Budapest stay in Atrium hotel. Be there while it is still new and smells new! (just opened middle of March 2007). I will definitely recommend it to all my friends.

          A ver ''pop'' hotel

          from

Atrium hotel is very nice, new and clean. Is just 1 minute walk from the bus, tram and metro station. However there aren't any restaurants near by and no tourist attraction places. Not to forget there aren't any bars so you have to take the metro and get to central pest for all these.

It also gave me the impression it is not based in the nicest areas of Budapest.

In conclusion I would recommend atrium hotel to everybody. Its price is very competitive and if I went back to Budapest I would certainly book the same.

          Ottimo, da tornarci

          from

Ottima struttura, nuova e ottima posizione a soli 2 min dalla Metro.

Colazione continentale povera (no cornetti) ma buona.

          Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo

Loved it - would stay again

          from

The Atrium Hotel is great. The hotel, having only opened ten days ago when we arrived, was clean and smelled new. The beds were wonderfully comfortable, the service excellent and the location perfect. It is just near trams 4/6 and Blaha Lujza Ter Metro station, so you have lots of options when planning a day of sight seeing.

The only thing that wasn't top class was the breakfast, but I think that is normal for Hungarian Hotels. It was passable, but not brilliant!

I would definitely stay there again :)

          Funky, fantastic Atrium

          from

Booked this hotel on last minute.com.

Only opened a few weeks ago, very clean, funky decor, incredibly helpful staff, who all spoke great English. Unique interior design, would pay a fortune for same style of hotel in the UK.

The hotel's rooms are formed around a huge rectangular atrium, with a glass roof, so most rooms look out onto a balcony which runs the length of the atrium, this meant they had no exterior window. The first room we were put into was nice, but felt a bit claustrophobic, due to the lack of an outside window, so we asked to be moved and luckily were, to a fantasic room at the front of the hotel, with 2 enormous, exterior facing windows, which was twice as big as the initial room we were put in.

So a tip would be that whilst the small rooms are still great value and lovely inside, anyone who likes a bit more space should ask for a room with an exterior facing window.

Breakfast was varied, although the fruit was not particularly fresh.

All in all great value for money and everyone so friendly. Located ten minutes walk away from great bars, 2 mins from the metro and easy to access the whole of Budapest.

... piece was his rendition of Gounod's, “Ave Maria”. Many around me were in tears. So was I.

A brief but firm handshake with him ended my reverie.

We spent a little more time in the cathedral. During the time the Russians came in to the country, many things were destroyed. A picture in the entrance area was left as the Russians mutilated it - bullet holes and bayonet slashes remind the people of those days and they have chosen to leave it ...

... I know where I am going. Until o get my map out. The Central Market is very touristy but a haven from the sun as it is now approaching 32*C. There is everything on offer including typical Hungarian things for tourists to take home with them. I am a big fan of markets but was not that fussed with this one. Not sure why that was though. Maybe because it was lacking atmosphere and all I could hear were tourists making stupid comments. So I left and headed towards the banks ...

So, we got up early for the long drive to Budapest. But, things did not work out as we planned! It seems like people in Prague do not get up early on Saturday. Marty could not get the car- closed until 7 (if we are lucky, I think!). We tried to have breakfast somewhere (anywhere) in the neighborhood, but nothing opens until 8!! 8 am on a Saturday!!!! Who knew???? So, I am updating pictures, etc. i could have ...

... filled with history and culture, this is the place to visit. Our first day involved a bus tour outside the city following the path of the the bend in the river (Danube Bend). We visited 3 small towns along the way Esztergom (centre of Catholocism in Hungary), Visegrad (castles on the hills) and Szentendre (a bohemian town previously occupied by Greeks, Turkish and Slovakians). It was great to see what life is like outside the big city,. The ...
