Historical Traveler Reviews Atrium Fashion Hotel Budapest

      Ein richtig "poppiges" Hotel

      from

      from

      Me encantó- volvería a quedarme

      from

      from

      Great fashion hotel!

      from

Visited Budapest for the 2nd time, and this time on a business occasion. Last time my stay was awful because of the hotel, which although was reasonably priced, I was misleaded by their web site and other reviews over the net. This time, after checking thoroughly this web site's reviews and checking over the hotel's web site, I decided to take the chance and book it. I was surprized by the true fashionable style, elegant decorated rooms, very pleasant, Never stayed in such clean premises. Very good staff service, good breakfast. What is really beautiful in this hotel is the Atrium place where breakfast and lunch or dinner is served. The hotel is decorated in the colors of light green, white and blue. Green is the best color for relaxing environments and that did a great work for my mood. Atrium is very very clean! The hotel is just 2 minutes from the nearest metro station and very close to the historic center of Pest. If you ever visit Budapest stay in Atrium hotel. Be there while it is still new and smells new! (just opened middle of March 2007). I will definitely recommend it to all my friends.

      A ver ''pop'' hotel

      from

Atrium hotel is very nice, new and clean. Is just 1 minute walk from the bus, tram and metro station. However there aren't any restaurants near by and no tourist attraction places. Not to forget there aren't any bars so you have to take the metro and get to central pest for all these.

It also gave me the impression it is not based in the nicest areas of Budapest.

In conclusion I would recommend atrium hotel to everybody. Its price is very competitive and if I went back to Budapest I would certainly book the same.

      Ottimo, da tornarci

      from

Ottima struttura, nuova e ottima posizione a soli 2 min dalla Metro.

Colazione continentale povera (no cornetti) ma buona.

      Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo

Loved it - would stay again

      from

The Atrium Hotel is great. The hotel, having only opened ten days ago when we arrived, was clean and smelled new. The beds were wonderfully comfortable, the service excellent and the location perfect. It is just near trams 4/6 and Blaha Lujza Ter Metro station, so you have lots of options when planning a day of sight seeing.

The only thing that wasn't top class was the breakfast, but I think that is normal for Hungarian Hotels. It was passable, but not brilliant!

I would definitely stay there again :)

      Funky, fantastic Atrium

      from

Booked this hotel on last minute.com.

Only opened a few weeks ago, very clean, funky decor, incredibly helpful staff, who all spoke great English. Unique interior design, would pay a fortune for same style of hotel in the UK.

The hotel's rooms are formed around a huge rectangular atrium, with a glass roof, so most rooms look out onto a balcony which runs the length of the atrium, this meant they had no exterior window. The first room we were put into was nice, but felt a bit claustrophobic, due to the lack of an outside window, so we asked to be moved and luckily were, to a fantasic room at the front of the hotel, with 2 enormous, exterior facing windows, which was twice as big as the initial room we were put in.

So a tip would be that whilst the small rooms are still great value and lovely inside, anyone who likes a bit more space should ask for a room with an exterior facing window.

Breakfast was varied, although the fruit was not particularly fresh.

All in all great value for money and everyone so friendly. Located ten minutes walk away from great bars, 2 mins from the metro and easy to access the whole of Budapest.

... journey. We had a pleasantly uneventful trip back into the city and to our hostel, and as the Spar was shut we bought two enormous burgers from a street stall for about £1.25 each, as all this excitement had made us hungry. Tomorrow we are leaving Budapest in the afternoon. We are catching a train to Zagreb, arriving about nine in the evening. We're both quite excited about this, and I'll try and remember to download a map of how to get from the railway station in Zagreb to our ...

We took advantage of the three hour free walking tour of Budapest this morning. Great to see all the sights and learn some background history. The only downside was the sweltering heat! We started at St Stephen's (first king of Hungary) church on the Pest side and ended up at the Royal Palace on the Buda side. The Chain Bridge connects Buda and Pest which are separated by the ...

... the Sofitel Hotel where we were the only two, so had very individual attention. We prepared and cooked traditional Hungarian goulash which is more a soup. I had tried it as we have travelled around although found it a bit bland, however this dish was delicious. Not spicy hot, but enough heat with a quite distinct sweetness coming through from the onions. We had to wear a black ...

One of the staff members, Henno, then walked up to us and asked for our check in name, told us to sit down, grab a beer and wait for him to bring us our wrist bands and keys. So Niamh and I nervously sat there with anticipation while we had our first and most certainly not last Grandio drink. The best thing about Grandio is that there are no rules - everything goes, so the check in ...

... After this we found some Hungarian wine sold in the supermarkets and headed for the foreshore. We walked up the river to Parliament house and back through the shopping area stopping along the way collecting souvenirs and presents. We also stopped off at a pharmacy where Tommy helped to get me some more cold and flu tablets. By this stage in the day it was growing cold and dark so we headed home grabbed our laptop and iPad and headed across the road to a cafe for free ...
