Liebe Menschen,
Bis dahin: Keep on rockin´

... took an 8-mile hike around Lake Bled and up to the Vintgar Gorge. Imagine if you will (or just look at our pictures) a clear emerald lake with a small island housing an old church/monastery with bells ringing throughout the day; on one shore a castle sits on a cliff overlooking the lake; and the Julian Alps, draped in early winter snow, sit majestically behind the hamlet ...
... was better. After another little walk round I had to buy some shoes as mine keep falling apart on me in the stupid weather well you should see the trainers I now have they are more embarrasing than anything in the world might get Ian to take a pic but will see!!!
Went for a rest in the room and remembered that we had not booked anywhere to stay in Austria tomorrow so we had to go out and use the internet again it had started to rain again so we ...
... tea time and after a little walking around we got to the apartment. Ian was dead chuffed as its above a chinese restaurant and he has already decided that that is where we are going for tea tonight. Maria who owns the apartment upgraded us as we booked just a room with shared bathroom but she said that she had an apartment free as it was quiet and we could use that so we have a really cute apartment of our own with ...
Bled, Slovenia traceybelle... He sent one of the guys out with tools in hand and he and Witek go the chain back on and ready to go! Very happy, I was having these images go through my head of me rolling back in to town with hand firmly pressed on the brakes!
Off we went and I was so happy to have the bike fixed, I was very proud of Witek.
We got to the top of this hill and were heading down the other side when I noticed a sign directing us to the right to get to the gorge. There was a car behind me so ...
... spoke to two couples who were next to us in a New Zealand van…they had some interesting stories of their own and we enjoyed talking with other people :) They had flown to Turkey and said that it was so expensive and they felt that they got ripped off while they were there…we had decided the day before in Venice that we would leave Turkey off our list of countries to see due to the fact ...
Bled, Slovenia armajor7... in the City and made a nice sightseeing tour alone. I dont like this sight seeing tours with the guides, they are mostly very nerveracking. But I think i could see everything and it was really cool. After a big Breakfast (I swear this Buffet was really good, not this senceless showbuffets how you know it from clubs, you had everything you wanted in an easy and not such an lavish form), i could drive direct from my Hotel with the Bus ...
Klagenfurt, Austrian Alps, Austria austriafan... most of the time you already have someone sitting on top of you (or you sitting on top of them). I find myself wantig to respond in Swahili to the people here given that I have been speaking Swahili words for the last 4-5 weeks. When I see a local at a store or a restaurant, I find myself wanting to say "Jambo" (Hello) instead of "Dober Dan". I also stop myself from saying "Assante" (Thank You) a lot of the time. A few more days of Europe ...
Bled, Slovenia dinovagabond... of the lake. We had a quick look inside the chapel and rang the Bell of Wishes, which was quite exciting, then had a coffee at the little café on the island. We then rowed back to shore and strolled around the other side of the lake to Bled, fed some fish for a while, then got the tourist "train" back to the campsite, where Marnie cut Andrew's hair before some more tournament-quality badminton. After dinner we went down to the lake to take some photos of the reflections of the ...
