We head to Lake Soci and end up at Kamp Koren, Kobarid for 3 nights. Kobarid has the Soca River running through it and is in the Triglav National Park. We finally made it to Bled from Bratislava after taking a taxi, 3 trains, and 2 buses- all in all, 7 hour day of travel. And more very nice food we had at Okarina, just across the road from our hotel and recommended by Paul MacCartney no less! They serve an odd mix of Indian and local cuisine but all seemed excellent. I had the day's special of chanterelle mushrooms with pasta and Albert had wild ...

... to the hotel for a compulsory Bled Cake, which is basically a custard slice but with very fine flaky pastry and added cream! We explore our immediate surroundings and then return to the hotel to meet up with the Anatolian Sky rep,Mija, who takes us through the things to do round and about. Then an early dinner at the Park Cafe which was not haute cuisine but the location is fabulous. Then back home to read and yet another early ...
