... and stuff. It's hot, polluted, the road is backed up with traffic and there are constant horns, this is the first time we've actually considered buying those masks that everyone wears. Java, the land of volcanoes and nothing else!
... covered in volcanic ash, but it was all worth it as we sat for an hour and watched the ginormous shape of Bromo come in to view as the sun rose. After the sun had come up, we got the chance to climb right up to the top of the volcano and walk around the rim of the crater. The sides of the volcano were so steep and when we reached the top I nearly had a panic attack as there was only a tiny ledge of earth to stand on, and then there were sheer drops ...
