I booked one tour for the late morning, early afternoon.
It was a great day and I saw beautiful flowers and walked for miles breathing in fresh air, taking millions of pictures, enjoying the scenery.

Despite the extra ks we did and the rather leisurely pace we rode at, we were in Leiden dropping off our bikes and luggage by 12:15pm (the 3pm check-in was enforced today). I went up into the windmill and had a fabulous view over the gardens and flower fields. You could easily spend the whole day at Keukenhof, just wandering about looking at the grounds. There was also a boat tour around the tulips. ...

On a more serious weekend, perhaps to myself without my lovely little sidekick (the Stubers, she's 8 going on 9), I can't wait to explore noteworthy places in history... not many people know that I'm a WWII ...
