Well, it's been a busy few days in Dubai! I don't think we've quite caught up with all the sleep we've missed yet, but we're having an amazing time! We were woken up early by the girls this morning, before they went to school, as we didn't see them yesterday - made for a very productive morning, with Lottie going for a run and me a swim! The flight …
Aquapopolis 'Dubaaaee,'
Posh places to ruin...
Jordan came to visit in Dubai, being a flight attendant, he's all over the world, so he just popped over for a coffee and a visit to Atlantis the Palm (Aquapopolis 'Dubaaaee'). We had a blast!
In the evening Sue took me on a Dune Safari. Hands down one of the best experiences I have ever had. It consists …
Dubai - Exquisite man made beauty
The trip starts here...! 8 days of luxury in Dubai with my boy Liam being kindly put up by Owen (Liam's brother) & Nicole (Liam's future sister-in-law) in their 25th floor Zumourud Tower apartment over looking Dubai Marina. Dubai is pretty insane, it feels like everywhere you go you are surrounded by stunning sky scrapers in all shapes and …
Our last day in Dubai
Today we went back to the water park. We went on The Stinger which we did not go on yesterday. My favourite ride was The Falls where you first go on a big dip, you get thrust into a tube, you get thrust out and go on another dip. Then you get thrust back into a tunnel and water gets sprayed at you. After that you go on a big dip and get thrust out …
Our first day in Dubai
This morning we arrived in Dubai. We went straight to Atlantis (the hotel) which is on the palm (as in tree). It's called that because the (man-made) island is shaped like a palm tree. On the way we saw the tallest tower in the world! We had breakfast and went to the Aqua-venture water-park, part of Atlantis. We went on a lot of rides including the …

Fine dining all you can eat and all the alcohol you can drink in 4 hours, 12-4pm, at the world's first 7* hotel on the famous palm, this was one not to be missed!
Brunches are pretty well know by the locals in Dubai and the Atlantis is one of the more luxury one's to go to. When you arrive at the plush location you're greeted by a porter who valet parks your car! Once we got inside we combed the area for alcohol and they have an Absolut vodka station with every flavour, slush puppy vodka daiquiri's, Frangelico and Baileys ice cream shots, cocktails in carved out melons and coconuts and loads of other drinks but the above sorted me. If they filmed these events for TV towards the end of the event it would look like a scene out of Booze Britain!
The food was luxury and so well prepared, everything looked so appetising and I tried to leave space to sample as much glorious food as possible before the free alcohol consumed the entire cubic feet of my body. They food from all round the world, from the fish bar I managed to try for the first time Red Snapper, Lobster, Sword Fish and Cat Fish and they were all surprisingly damn tasty.
If you visit Dubai you have to go to a brunch!

We stayed on the Imperial Club floor and it was great. The kids enjoyed the play area in the lounge and it was nice to have somewhere to come to and relax. We stayed two nights and it was enough time to explore everything the hotel has to offer. In january, the water in the water park was a little chilly but otherwise, the kids enjoyed the morning there. The kids club is also excellent, my 4 year old went in for 2 hours and he wasn't done playing when i went to pick him up! The restaurants are all excellent and the staff is super courteous.

Thirty six hours of total luxury, pampering and adventure. From the moment of arrival at reception at 11am on Tuesday, until our departure after dinner at 11pm on Wednesday, we experienced five star attention. A very attentive bellboy helped us with our luggage to our fabulous room on the 4th floor. Amazing views over the complex.
Fantastic choice of restaurants, with amazing customer service.
The waterworld was great fun, and the dolphin experience was great.
Fantastic value for money. and I particularly appreciated the use of the hospitality room which allowed us the opportunity to change from our swimming gear and dress up for dinner, before leaving at 11pm.
Would recommend this as a "must stay here" to anyone travelling to Dubai.

The hotel was so opulent and the rooms very spacious. Food was amazing. There were so many restaurants to choose from but we went to the same restaurant every night because there was such an array of food there! the park and pools were lots of fun and the service was excellent.
