... After all the effort it took preparing the meals we weren't even able to thank them by doing the dishes...instead we would be sent outside to swing in the hammocks overlooking the sea...we were spoiled rotten. No wonder I love this place so much!
We watched a few World Cup games on the TV. Tia loves football but she couldn't watch Brazil play as she would get too stressed...instead she would pray in another room with one ear pinned to the door listening ...
We are certainly settling into our Brazilian lifestyle very well. No Sydney rush hour traffic, no school lunches to prepare, no crazy after school activity schedule. Of course it's not all sand castles and mangoes but it's close!
The 5 of us are living in pretty close quarters in a 'granny flat' under the main house. It is really comfortable and Mamae went all out filling it with new bedding, towels, TV, DVD ...

Lucilla (Hugo's wife) disagreed with him and said we only stayed 1 night, in Portuguese of course. He decided not to charge us extra after all. So she is the hero. Then we went back to Campina Grande.
... you. We were charmed with it all and were probably the only Aussie visitors they will have had. We celebrated Tiffs 40th birthday there spending the morning on a beach which was a long as the eye could see and we had it all to ourselves. The water was beautiful and tropically warm and a nice relief to the heat of the day. We had lunch in the village café which is on the verandah of one of the locals house where he usually feeds ...
... of fish, crab, shrimp and pippies with Guaraną of course.It was time to leave Barra de Mamaguape and head back to Campina. The next day was Reids birthday (my brother). He got some cool Brazil football stuff and we went out for afternoon tea to a cafe called Fresh Cake. It was delicious fresh cake. The next few days we are hanging out in Campina so I will let you know what I get up to in my next blog. See you soon Connor
