... For the locals COP is THE currency. Kinda shows how poor the country is, but also how communism can control what it is selling. In Cbodge for example the price is the price, but here there is a distinct class level between locals and foreigners. I haven't figured out how to get my hands on any COP yet though.

Welcome to 'Mañana' Once ensconced in our beautiful restful room at Parque Central, Havana, it was shower, change, eat, chat to fellow Brits and their tales of the city. Sensational views in all directions of this rather decrepit but gorgeous old city. Checked the exchange rate at the hotel for Euros to CUC and it's exactly the same as at the airport. Breakfast is included in the room, though it sounds like you have to pay for wifi.
