Somehow, I found the Travel Insider web site and the package featured several things that sounded appealing - discounts, add-ons, a great itinerary, and a cruise company that we had used before & enjoyed very much. I also spoke to the "host" - the Travel Insider himself - and found him to be pleasant, well-informed, and enthusiastic about the trip.

An auspicious start, I thought.

After completing a couple of circles, we finally understood that she meant us to travel a quarter mile further and make a u-turn which put us on a traffic circle leading to the expressway entrance. We arrived at the park on Tuesday after driving only 170 miles and paying $ 16.00 in tolls. We drove over the Walt Whitman Bridge rather than the Ben Franklin Bridge in Philly.We usually stop but because there was no traffic in Philly we just kept driving and we missed the rush hour traffic.

After another great day of sightseeing in Philly we headed to a Diner for dinner - love it - no cheese wizz this time but great food.
Then we decided to drive over the bridge into New Jersey so we could say we had set foot there and next thing Rosa sees the Alantic city sign and Lucy hits the highway (9:30 at this ...

... and gets really mad at me. So im bored still and went and asked if they wanted to play cards. Again the said No and so i sat and watched the Phillies and ate Life ceral. Finally i ask to go on the computer til 9 and they said 'yea sure but go to bed at 9' and i said sure. so my mom comes in and tells me good night and that my friends can go to the water park on Thursday and that i can keep reading until 9:15pm. But I lost track of time ...

The Atlantic City trip was cut short by Rain.  When the rain comes we run and hide our heads we might as well be dead... well you get the idea.  Anyway we were bummed out because the entry fee was steep and we did not get to ride the boardwalk in the morning as planned.  The ride out of Jersey was difficult and expensive.  Dual wheels cost a premium every few miles was a toll.  We got a Garmin GPS that was flawless except when trying to get on I-95 after crossing into Philly ...

... were lots of people walking.  Pinball effect in full force while riding around everyone with the little ones.  We left pretty soon since it got dark fast because we arrived a bit late.  Picked up a pizza & soda at Boardwalk Bistro before heading to our Navion to dine and leave.  The pizza was almost New York like.  Best so far we've had this trip.  We were eager to go ...

... about as exciting as our gambling gets!

Had ice cream on the seafront and made our way back to a nice nicer motel!

Next day left for Philadelphia and stopped off at a warton state forest and took a short hike through the trails (4 miles in flip flops!)

... zero outside as well didn't really help, but even the visits to the pubs and casino's weren't enjoyable (well, the Irish Pub "Ri Rah's" did have great Guinness! On the plus side the motel I was staying in was cheap and passable, had free continental breakfast tho!
