... and Rebecca decided to head out for some late breakfast but couldn't find anywhere still open for it! Even though it was only half 11! Bec searched online for places near by as we were starting to get hangry (hungry & angry!) she came across Ellen's stardust diner. Just thought it was your regular all American diner, oh no!! ... making their way all over New York. The pictures I took don't even do it justice. After that, I met Hannah and we went to a crazy Indian restaurant in the east village. The food was ok but the decor was fantastic. Crazy chilli Christmas lights everywhere!! After that we went to a bar and had a beer. ... in America, I will be going to Central Park Zoo. Do you remember in Madagascar when the animals decide to escape from the zoo - that was the one in Central Park! They might not have lions and hippos there, but they do have snow leopards and red pandas, snow monkeys and sea lions and more.

... got a really good view and took lots of photos, especially of the gorgeous Chrysler building, and even the tiny Statue of Liberty in the distance. The kids too, were amazed by the views, especially Sam who enjoyed the audio tour, learning lots. The whole experience took longer than we anticipated, it was already early afternoon, so we jumped on the subway to the 9/11 memorial. ... We walk around LES until we find a diner on Houston. Its a nice looking place and quite busy. Our waiter is a little hard of hearing but we get our orders in with Jem's help (she was closest to the waiter's good ear). Our entrees were pretty good, Dan enjoyed his shrimps and we all enjoy our soups. But the mains were hit and miss.
