... Charlie is a museum called the Topography of Terror which goes into depth about the nazi party and all their misdoings. It was free which was pretty cool but there was so much information inside. Afterwards we went across the road and this is where we first tried Currywurst. Currywurst is essentially sausages with, tomato sauce, curry powder and seasoning and you know what, it was pretty damn good!

We left our flavour amazement behind and went searching for ...

... ended the tour at an old royal palace turned into part of the university now. The guide finished the tour by telling us the story of how the end of the Berlin wall was a sort of mistake by the president of Eastern Berlin at the time telling people they could cross the wall freely as of immediately, not what the government had intended at all.

The meal (photo below) consisted of pork knuckle, sauerkraut, potatoes and peas mash is one of their speciality dishes. It looked quite horrific when it arrived at my table but the meat is very tender and tasty. Including a large beer it cost just under $20 AUD in total. Just another example of how cheap it is to live here.

... I spent almost the entire afternoon doing start jumps to keep my feet warm, despite wearing thick bed socks. It was so cold! In the end marc and I took rotating shifts being outside with Paul. 5 mins by the fire, 5 mins outside. We stayed there until about 7pm, the last hour defrosting infront of his lovely slow combustion fireplace and enormous television. We then altogether made our way to the delicious Turkish bar in Erkner and enjoyed a ...

... a couple of beers and Paul and I attempted to process what was just given to us. So awesome!!!

As the afternoon flew by, we caught the underground to Alexander Platz and enjoyed the rest of the sunshine as we listened to a jazz band play in the park by the water. We then walked around for a little while, marvelling at the Berlin architecture and catching up on old times. Shortly afterwards we ...
