... I unfortunately ended up sitting next to these extremely rude Germans. They were yelling abuse at us and making fun of us because we didn't speak german. It was THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE bus trip I have ever had in my life. Once hopping off the bus, we took the next train back into the centre of Berlin where half the group went back to check point charlie and the other half went shopping. I went shopping of course! ... Berlin is a huge, huge city and obviously houses a lot of museums, memorials and exhibitions remembering WW2, so the next few days will be a mad rush to get through as much as we can.

... stopping to rehydrate at a number of cafe's. We found a large open Biergarten with a few families eating and drinking although it is quite cold, suggest around 10c. Had one beer and kept wandering up to the intersection and turned left down Eberswalder. Passed a big stadium named Frierick Ludwig Jahn Sportspark which I can only assume id one of the major soccer ovals in Berlin.

Headed back down Oderberger which is an interesting street full of cafe's and restaurants. ...

... better known Zubrowka. This is perfect with apple juice and fresh mint. The mint was a herb too far for this little shop that seemed to be open at all ours but the apple juice was less of a problem and we grabbed a litre in a plastic bottle.
