    We visited the DDR a Museum also and again such a huge volume of information to follow.

    We took a one hour Boat Cruise along the river to see Berlin from a different angle. A lovely change from walking and a good chance to sit down and rest.

    There is a spectacular 'Dom' (Cathedral) in Berlin so we went to visit that but they were just shutting ...

    ... wonderful as we had hoped....but interesting and fun in an unexpected kind of way. The German election campaign was full on with interesting posters and bill boards everywhere. Dresden, on the other hand, was a beautiful city and we spent our 29th anniversary there, among a city full of local folks all enjoying their “Dixieland/Jazz Festival” with fabulous food and free music everywhere!     ... went to the same Christmas markets we previously were at, as they were the closest to the hostel. We were making sure we got our money’s worth from our day pass on the tube. We got some dinner which was consist of local bratwurst that was 50cm long! Doesn’t look that big when it gets folded in half and stuck in a bun.     ... br> The memorial is not meant to make you sad, it is supposed to make you feel like you are isolated or lost within the pillars. It was interesting because although I did separate from my friends, I also felt like I was being watched the entire time. There was no where to hide because the pillars were all a perfectly aligned grid so no matter where you were you could be seen from four different sides.

    The crazy German lady wakes up at like 5:30am and makes as much noise as possible by stomping and slamming the doors. She even thought it would be fun to slam the window, which happened to be right over my head. My goodness, I think she's trying to make an effort to be an ******* now.
