Got off to a great start from Lands End after a rather emotional send off by Brenda Becky and Christina. The bike performed well but feels like I'm tugging a caravan. It's something arou 45lbs much more than I hoped to get down to but can't seem to reduce it.
Beautiful day and surprised myself at average speed of 9 mph.Rode along coastal cycle route to Marazion and the drama of 'the Mount'-this is the life I thought.

Sunday & Monday 22-23 May 2011 - after leaving cousin Betty's at Southampton we rode to Sammy Miller's Motorcycle Museum at New Milton about 30 miles distance.

Anne and Ken drove down from Co Durham, Andy Hammond and John Ellis came down from Cheshire, John Long, Mike Ives and I left from Leicestershire, David Gibson cycled from Haverhill to Cambridge and took the train to Penzance whilst Richie Hammond came all the way from Glasgow in Scotland.
