... Nice was pretty great. It had a beach which was ok if you like gravel, and a range of bizarre fashion from oiled up fat stomachs to 3d tiger shirts without the tiger. The weather was warm and we enjoyed the city. The parallel in Australia would probably be the Gold Coast with 24 hour restaurants, 24 hour gyms in the main streets and plenty of fluoro suits and boutique lap dogs. You could ...

Monday 9th – Kids off to
school with Mum and Dad cleaning up and sorting things out post the trip away.
Tuesday 10th – kids to
school as normal and they were having lunch at school – Crumbed fish, salad,
beans and fruit which Maddi liked but Corban did not. Toni and Tony went for a walk – 13.75kms to Place

We enjoyed a hot drink at the Cafe de Paris and wondered what the photographers were waiting for. We then found out that Kylie Minogue was performing at the main casino. We enjoyed people watching - how the other half live.
We got home at midnight but it was well worth it.
... picked up that Mr Pitzen in his thongs, shorts and T-shirt wouldn't have been staying there. We jumped back on the bike and headed back to Nice on a different route inland. The traffic was a lot busier and our top speed was no match for the Italian sports cars and European Saloons who piled up behind us on the narrow winding route. We still had the bike until midday the next day so parked it overnight for one more adventure south in the morning. We headed towards Antibes ...
... patio. This wine bar didn’t offer a full bar selection, so as midnight neared we darted down the street in search of an open and lively bar. Though Rosalina Bar was not crowded, it did offer a selection of cognac. We toasted to Rufio’s birthday at midnight, and the gracious bartender offered us both a complimentary snifter before we set out again.
