... an easy drive! It rained all the time and at times it was coming down so hard we had to slow way down to see the road! We saw more lightning and heard more thunder in a day than we've seen in years in SD!

When we arrived at the park, someone in a fancy RV was stuck in the mud on the median! They were going to need a truck to pull them out ...

... the airport in my riding tack they'd ask me to ride outside on the wing!

I left my Rocket in the care of Hewel and took a cab to the Mayan Inn right on the beach.

I spent the afternoon at the beach, the water is bathtub warm. The sand is more like flour, and really gets everywhere, I mean everywhere!. The beach is hard packed and while I was in a vehicle free area, most places you can drive ...

... having met his team owner and crew in Charley Horse the night before. We had a great chat with his mom Vera and met his fiancée Leah. Hard to believe he turns 30 this year, we watched him race for the first time at Mosport when he was still in high school, driving a formula Mazda open wheeler. Today he drove an Aston Martin DB5, jet black and pretty cool, alas out of the top ten finishers. Better luck tomorrow Mark.
      So today I'll celebrate ...
