Yet another sunny day in France. Last night it was so very black not sure I have ever seen such intense darkness. Suz took her panic alarm to bed with her she spooked me a bit so took mine too but I slept well. ... inside! We decided to go to Doué-la-Fontaine next. A lovely town, much bigger than we expected. We found a gun shop which Dave loved, luckily it was closed! Astree Grill Brasserie, was were we had lunch/dinner. Three courses €12.9. We both left some of the main course, it was just too much and we new there was a crepe coming for pudding. ... the big wine picking machine was working in the vineyard. I asked the boss if I could take a photo. He stopped the machine to show us how it worked. It's so clever it separates the grapes from the stalks, the grapes go one way and the stalks another. He then picked a few bunches by hand and gave them to us. The following morning we piled in the car to go to Tallensac the large covered market in Nantes. We were lucky to go early enough to avoid the weekend traffic, vacationers returning for La Rentree or the start of the school year. The traffic conditions were noted orange for heavy traffic and we saw them all waiting bumper to bumper on our way back.
