Start of the GREAT ADVENTURE from Atlanta
Wish us luck as we depart in the evening from Atlanta via Los Angeles continuing on the same aircraft to Sydney, Australia. We know that we will not see a seat in BusinessElite to Los Angeles but we are really keeping our fingers crossed (pray for us!) that we will be able to take advantage of the flat ...

Not so Hot-lanta

... that I can't talk." Oy!!! 35min. before curtain, and I have to send my understudy to go over blocking and pin costumes to his size (he's about 1/3 the size of the down actor), I have to run front of house and sound, my ASM has to run backstage w/o me, and I have to get my sick actor with the swollen tongue to a doctors ASAP. It was quite the show... Turns out, he had an ulcer under his tongue, and luckily after a night of medicine and prescription solution, he was ...

Hanging around like monkeys.

... Indian Pow-wow was taking place. We saw traditional Indian dance, costumes and tee-pees. It was really cool. From traditional to modern technology we also caught the 4D adventure film inside where the seats move, wind and water fall on you and things touch your legs all to add to the movie. Stone Mountain was an excellent day full of beauty and adventure. We must also quickly note that ...

'Truth Alone Triumphs'

... my ego and have certainly opened my awareness to a much wider arena of human thought and activity. India became both much more and much less than what I thought it was and that's ok because I say the same about my own country. The same sense of national denial is obvious in both places. There is 'no ego' in India just like there is 'no poverty' in America. Truth alone triumphs, indeed!
with lots of places to run to...

All good things must come to an end..., "they" say.
I guess so, but if you're lucky (or just an excellent planner)... more good things await you around the next corner.

I had a great trip. I met interesting people, saw amazing sights, ate delicious (and not so delicious) foods, and had many new experiences I will remember for the rest of my life. I'm sure there is so much more to say... but even after everything, it's still good to be home!

Going Bananas

... with by Stacy, an old friend from Charleston and her roomate Meg(?). Any and Becky had to work early so we said our goodbyes and the girls took on the town. Good times and hilarity insued as it does during a night on the town with Stacy, and despite exceeding my budget, (which I keep close track of mentally) the Atalnta stop was much needed and well worth it.

Waiting, waiting, waiting

We waited on the runway fo about 45 minutes then we took off. Those new GPS screens showed we circled several times over the Carolinas before heading north again. We circled again in NY then the pilot said we did not have enough gas to continue circling so we detoured to Syracuse to refuel. We were able to make phone calls and at this time it looked like there was no way to catch my flight. By the time we took off it was too late. I cried!!!

En Route to Rio

... a close call. So off to the airport we went. Anita's mom drove us to the MARTA station. We rode the MARTA to the airport. Ran into a little trouble trying to check in for our international flight at the domestic kiosk. DUH! Once we finally got it straight check-in was quick and easy. We're so happy we got all our stuff into 2 bags - one each. It doesn't even feel like we're traveling out of the country. We're very casual about it. Maybe it's because we're only staying for ...
