      On the road home

A travel blog entry by dkauten on Feb 15, 2015

Picked up the car at our friends, the Meadors. Hitting the road for Atlanta. Wow, it's been a whirlwind expedition! Feels like we've been gone for months. Can't believe how much we've seen and all the places that we've been in the last 26 days. I will certainly view so many of the places we've visited with a different set of eyes and opinions ...

Will got to the mechanic at 7 and he said that the emergency brake is not engaged so we can drive with it flailing around. No emergency brake in the Tahoe now so no parking on the side of any mountains for us. We are still late leaving but not Atlanta-locked! Will has rigged the brake with an old Adidas box to give it a little support. I bet we add some duct tape later on. ...

      Two Month Count-Down

Nothing new to report except that today marks exactly two months until departure. It's of course tax season, so days and nights are running together and it's easy to blink and look at the calendar and realize we're another week closer to leaving. The schedule is WAY overloaded right now (work, school, coaching, gym (ha ha) and a little golf) and it's hard ...
