    ... as it was a corner cabin and had 2 portholes, and had a great view forward.

    It was a smooth trip and we arrived on time in Igoumenista after 17.5 hours journey.

    ... Corfu, stopping quite a bit for swimming and delicious food. George's tsatsiki was pretty legendary. He even got us all up at one point to sing our national anthem (and a slice of heaven, apparently the most well known New Zealand song). The cruise finished at 4.30 and we went straight to the hotel pool to get rid of the salty sea water before dinner. Dinner was a relative feast of salads and meat. Greek food has been amazing so ...

    ... that she is using seems to think we are below sea level? As we approach the port we can see Corfu Island across the beautiful turquoise sea. At Igoumenitsa we parked at the terminal and went to enquire about tickets, we decided that the crossing to Ancona would be best, it sails tonight at 12 .30, takes 16 hours and allows dogs in the cabins.     ... land it seems strange to see such a mix of vehicles, on Crete about 80%25 of the vehicles were 4x4 pickups,in various sizes and states of disrepair, the remainder were mostly small vehicles. Many of the vehicles had bent panels on them.
