... top overlooking the caldera. And this is what it is all about. The towns are pretty special – very picturesque. The two main towns of Fira and Oia stretch along the cliff face about a km each and tumble down the face facing the sea for quite a few meters – well until it is impossible to build although some might say that where they have build is impossible so who knows. The buildings don’t stretch inland very ...

The locals then also found that the white colours also reflected the heat and it just became the norm. So all in all I am super glad I came here but geez I have got to admit that for an island holiday, now that I have seen it. Yep Humpy island for 5 to 6 days with my darl is still up there with our all time best ...

... in Oia with the caves tucked into the hillside. Although there are no windows which is good for sleeping in on holidays most of the newer renovated caves are very luxurious and up to 7 star accommodation.
This place is known for the number one sunset in the top ten sunsets in the world and the sunset did not disappoint.

          Stunning Santorini

... 8364;10 for a cocktail which seems a bit excessive. On return from the bar one evening, there was a situation at the hotel which did dampen things slightly, but makes for an interesting story! Santorini, as beautiful as it is, is very overpopulated and I find to be expensive.
