... Beach. I felt I had deceived Juli with my cynicism, and purposefully paraded her around the same streets that I had felt so oppressed by in my previous stay. However she, and I, could find few faults with the cosy, market-ridden alleys of Kuta. With a lack of drunk tourists came a certain vitality to the place, and I had a kindling of upset that I had so easily dismissed it as a ruined resort. However, as time permitted, we had to head on to our ...

... obtaining our scuba dive license. 10 minutes of hard swimming and we were able to get great footage and the experience of touching the turtle a few times; unfortunately the turtle was too swift for us to grab hold for a ride. This snorkel was much better than the last; Breanne was stung by a jellyfish and I had to urinate on her arm. Apparently this is a wives tale, but it seemed to do the trick. We ended the evening off by going to dinner at a nice restaurant which was an open air ...

... We had had a lovely afternoon and my daughters father in law also celebrated his birthday so I arranged for the staff to come out singing happy birthday, was a good surprise.
Once home, We jumped straight into our pool and lazed around on noodles feeling really rather lazy.
Our friends Justin and Tarja and their girls had been to waterbom, so they called in for a drink at the pool on their way back.
