Jalan Athena II No.3 Padang Sumbu Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia, 80361, 361-738756
The building in which Queen's Tandoor exists has housed a number of restaurants in the past that did not seem to work! This one is going to be very different! Sensational Indian food served with no apologies. No toning down of taste! Indian chefs, imported Indian chillies and spices, imported Indian know-how! That all goes to making food that is traditionally Indian! I have to admit that when I first saw Queen's Tandoor, and read the history, my gut feel was 'another franchise or Bali branch ...

The island of Nusa Lembongan has to be the most chilled out place I have ever been. In fact it’s quite surprising the boats don’t sail backwards and the chickens don’t just sun bathe all day. Sanur where we had initially headed to on the east coast turned out to be a bit of a dump and we met our first unfriendly Balinese person. The fact that we had got up at 2am the previous morning and I hadn’t slept since probably didn’t help with ...

... the cultural arts centre of Bali and is full of trendy cafes, restaurants, boutique crafts shops and one of the coolest markets I have been to. The market was filled with wooden crafts stalls, batik stalls, fruit stalls (I got to sample the rare asian mangosteen fruit) and plenty of places to pick up some cheap and trendy clothing/ sarongs. We spent quite a few hours wandering around here.
After lunch, we headed further afield to Jatiluwih (meaning 'truely ...
... we watched the sun disappear behind us, to the mountains in the west. Getting ready for dinner, I was just putting on a light dress over my bathing suit: there is absolutely no point in ever dressing up here, especially considering one could count the number of tourists in your own hands at any given moment. 30 seconds after putting my dress on, some bug intensely bite my back, near my right shoulder blade. I felt the poison going into my body and spreading around, in ...
Ubud, Bali, Indonesia snclark8... helpful, and interested in western culture. Places of mass tourism like Kuta are a little spoiled by overdevelopment, but when you wonder into the smaller areas of Indonesia, you really get a fell for the rich culture and general kindness of people. With that said, we were really looking forward to our next stop to Lombok, a neighboring island which is more rural and tropical than Bali.
Kuta, Bali, Indonesia jamemorg... in one of the world's top island destinations. To further indulge in the beautiful surrounds, the resort has a stylish rooftop bar with languorous settees and oversized cushions available for guests to "chill out" and soak in the famous Balinese sunsets. Serving up new world and Asian fare, and overlooking the wide expanses of beach below, the rooftop is set to be one of Bali's premier entertainment and dining venues. Further features at the ...
Bali, Indonesia rueng84... and west have black sand. We are moving from town to town (beach to beach) see the people and places. Stayed in some nice hotels with great pools and gardens around them. The local boats are very colorful and the number one game the local's play is chess! Gave it a try on the beach. We also took a day trip to the mountains and towns in the north of the island and saw rice fields, stone works and a volcano which last erupted in about 1970.
Bali, Bali, Indonesia goodrichodyssey... walked straight past the places I wanted to go. Spent the rest of the day by the pool (nothing new there) just chilling out and trying my hardest to ignore the awful balinese music that they have on in the restaurant next to the pool. It sounds like it's a 5 second clip of music that is on a loop all day and is really annoying. It sounds like a few kids have all got some instruments and played them together. Saw Jimmy and Anthony at about 4pm and they said they ...
