A flight from Colombo to Male – the capital of the Maldives - and then a ferry out to one of the islands (Maafushi). I'm in paradise in the Maldives!!!! Well not quite. Maafushi is not one of the resort places – they were much too expensive. But, it’s only 1.5 hours from Male so I didn’t have to endure a long sea trip or pay a crazy amount for a sea plane.
