So today was fairly relaxed. This morning I woke up at 5.30am, after finally thinking I had beaten jet lag. I stayed in bed until 8. ****, I tell you what, the construction outside was so loud this morning, whilst the light beaming into my room made it much more difficult to sleep. I got out of bed and had a shower, they have the most amazing shower, a massive shower head with the perfect water pressure. Ahh so much better than my ****** ...

The flight was good; I flew from Sydney at around 8.15pm, the plane got delayed for half an hour, which I thought may affect my transits. Off to bed about 0045am after a fantastic but tiring ...

... went to grab something to eat. Although we were aiming to get some Spanish food, neither of us are big on seafood, so we ended up in an Irish pub. Yep, totally like us. Don't worry, we will get tapas at some point. We did meet a couple of Australians guys at the pub and ended up having an awesome time hanging out and learning some Aussie games. Let's just say it was a wonderful end to our first ...

    ... It can be rough.

But, at the same time, traveling alone has given me incredible confidence that I've never had before. Slowly but surely, my fears have dwindled and decreased. I no longer fear walking places alone, I'm able to work myself out of sketchy situations, and I never dwell on the ****** people I come across. It's not fair for them to take away my experiences here.

That being said, the group I was with that night all eventually got too ...
