Journey to Villanova was a bit traumatic particularly around the Barcelona ring roads - torrential rain meant we could barely see out the window never mind the road signs. Stressful and glad we made Villa nova in one piece ! A huge site with a mixture of static chalets, motorhomes, huge static tents and then caravans. Very expensive motorhomes with 4X4s abound and all of them have huge satellite dishes which impacted on our internet signal which was ****. ...

After just short of two weeks had our last meal together in the site restaurant. It is very good value and the food was always good. You could get a three course meal for €12 during the week,it was €14 at the weekends, and they did a very good suckling pig dish which was ...

The pasejada is like a Correfoc without the scary bits. It contains many of the animals and monsters plus the samba bands and other drummers and percussionists that help to make that parade of fire so exciting. It’s actually a better way to see the creatures because the smoke and explosions plus the spectators running hither and thither in Correfoc can be quite a distraction.

From memory I reckon it took about an hour to pass ...

Woke up and chilled at the hostel for a little bit, caught the metro into the city. Went on a walking tour of the Gothic region of Barcelona, and saw the Cathedral of Santa Eulalia, and a few shrines for saints. After that we had a beer at the travel bar, had some more tapas, and came back to the hostel, where I stayed for the ...
